Steven van Gool

Steven started with piano lessons at an early age with Yamilé van der Mee in Dordrecht. While studying Music Education at the Fontys Conservatory, he took piano lessons with Chris van de Kuilen. After, he was taught by Joop Celis and Jelena Bazova in the piano classical major course. In addition to these two courses at the conservatory, he studied philosophy. He completed a bachelor’s degree at Tilburg University, followed by a research master’s at Radboud University.

In recent years, Steven has mainly worked at De Graaf and Cornelissen Entertainment, where he was involved with, for example, Kinky Boots, Evita and My Fair Lady. He’s working at Fontys as an accompanist on the preparatory course of the Academy for Music and Musical Theater and he conducted several recitals of students of the Master of Music. In addition, he is active as a keyboard player and as a repetitor and conductor with various choirs.
